Barbecue young jack fruit “pulled pork” smoking in the slow cooker.
Amazing! Low and slow cooking isn’t just for meat - young jack fruit has an incredibly meaty texture and makes a good whole food alternative to tofu and gluten. And anything bbq is delicious, obviously. I don’t think the smoking was entirely necessary if your paprika is smoky enough, but I wanted to try it out - just be sure to let it rest for a few hours for the flavours to fully develop before reheating and eating :)
